Meet the Inclusion Team

	Mrs K. Mulji: As an experienced teacher and qualified SENCo, my role is to oversee Elsley Primary School's Special Educational Needs provision. I have always wanted to work in a role that would enable me to support children with additional needs and their families. Being part of such an incredible inclusion team is allowing me to do just that and I really do love what I do. As an Inclusion Manager, I work closely with all staff, including the rest of the Senior Leadership Team, to ensure that our school has an inclusive ethos in which all children participate and make excellent progress. I thoroughly enjoy finding ways to remove barriers to learning, ensuring that every child makes progress towards building more positive self esteem.
	Mrs M. Davies: Before qualifying as a teacher I supported young people and children with a range of Special Educational Needs and I now enjoy bringing my previous knowledge and experience to my teaching at Elsley. I specialise in teaching music and have had training in delivering music lessons to a whole range of pupils. At Elsley I provide a number of one to one Musical Learning sessions to pupils with additional needs where I am able to use my musical skills to work on targets specific to each child whether its building confidence, turn taking or develop speech. I am passionate about tailoring the curriculum to the needs of the pupil and believe in a holistic view of the child. I hope that by being in the inclusion team I will be able to bring my ideas to help further the wonderful work we do at Elsley.
	Mrs M. Cronin: As an experienced teacher I have had many opportunities to develop my expertise. I have trained as a Reading Recovery Teacher and this sparked my interest in Dyslexia .I became interested in Speech and Language as a Nursery Teacher. I trained as an I can licensee and have delivered Speech, Language and communication training at Elsley and in other schools. My role in Elsley is to support children with Speech ,Language and communication difficulties. I enjoy working closely with colleagues in the Inclusion Team to ensure that all children can follow their own learning journey and reach their potential in an inclusive environment. I like the challenge of thinking as a team of how to remove the barriers to learning and to have children's well- being at the forefront of our minds.
	Ms I. Mitchell: I am the administrator responsible for attendance. I am passionate about attendance and would love everyone to achieve 100% attendance and therefore have the best chance to achieve their potential at school. I monitor the pupil’s attendance daily and contact parents immediately if there are any concerns or issues. I really enjoy my job and enjoy supporting the parents and staff with any Attendance issues.
	Ms A. Ahmed: As an experienced classroom practitioner with experience in both a Key stage 1 and Key stage 2 setting, I am incredibly excited to be part of the EAL inclusion team. I have always been very passionate about developing specific provision for children who have English as an additional language. Working within such a diverse school such as Elsley Primary has enabled me with many exciting opportunities to develop the language of bilingual pupils therefore making an important contribution to inclusion and equality. I believe integration of pupils with EAL should be integral and standard practice. This is because EAL students learn best in mainstream classrooms with access to a full curriculum. I look forward to contributing to the EAL inclusion team to ensure that all students experience an enjoyable learning and teaching experience here at Elsley Primary School.
	Ms S. Kahn: As an experienced teacher, I have always been passionate about Inclusion. I have always loved working in a school where I can aid in celebrating the multi-culturalism and difference of its pupils and help the school thrive for excellence. I have always believed that pupils need to feel happy and safe for them to flourish. Thus, I have always aimed to create a classroom where pupils are not limited by their academic ability, faith and background. As an experienced teacher, I have always been passionate about Inclusion. I have always loved working in a school where I can aid in celebrating the multi-culturalism and difference of its pupils and help the school thrive for excellence. I have always believed that pupils need to feel happy and safe for them to flourish. Thus, I have always aimed to create a classroom where pupils are not limited by their academic ability, faith and background.
	Ms R. Dahir: This is my first-year teaching, and it was really important to me that that I begin my career in education by involving myself in opportunities that encourage inclusion and support children with additional needs. I have a personal connection with special educational needs as I have a little brother who is diagnosed with autism. I enjoy researching and finding ways of not only supporting him but all children with additional needs to overcome any hurdles and achieve their full potential.
