    Elsley Primary School

    Online Safety

At Elsley Primary School, we are deeply committed to ensuring our pupils stay safe when using the internet and other technologies. We understand the importance of equipping children with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the digital world responsibly and confidently.

Each year, we host assemblies focused on Cyber-bullying and Internet Etiquette, and we actively celebrate Safer Internet Day to raise awareness about the importance of online safety. We dedicate a full week to Online Safety, during which pupils participate in whole-school activities designed to reinforce safe online practices. During this week, we also provide essential training for parents and staff, led by our dedicated Online Safety Leader.

We strongly encourage all parents to attend our Online Safety Training Workshops to stay informed about the latest strategies for protecting children online. Below, you will find links to valuable resources that offer tips and guidance on keeping your child safe in the digital world.

At Elsley Primary School, we follow the S.M.A.R.T. rules to guide our online safety efforts. We invite you to download our S.M.A.R.T. poster and other resources listed at the bottom of this page, and display it near your devices at home, serving as a helpful reminder for your child to stay safe online.

Throughout the year, children are reminded of how to stay safe online. Children at Elsley are all aware of what they need to do if they fall victim to cyber-bullying or if they come across something they feel is inappropriate or makes them uncomfortable. This poster is displayed around our school:
