Year 2
Welcome to Year 2 at Elsley Primary School, where pupils continue to build on the skills and knowledge acquired in Year 1, becoming more confident in their abilities. This year marks the end of Key Stage 1, and children begin to consolidate their reading, writing, and mathematical understanding. We also introduce more complex topics in subjects like Science and History, encouraging children to ask questions and think critically. Year 2 is a time for pupils to develop resilience, teamwork, and a deeper love for learning, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of Key Stage 2.
